Alfredo Sauce

Yields: 8 Servings
Ingredients:
2 tbsp cream cheese
3/4 c shredded (or crumbled) parmesan cheese (fresh, not the jar stuff)
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp garlic powder
3 pt heavy (whipping) cream
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 dash nutmeg
1 tbsp chopped parsley
8 oz noodles
Directions:
In large saucepan, over low heat, combine the butter, cream cheese, and a small amount of whipping cream (1/4 to 1/2 cup -- it really doesn't have to be measured).

After the above is melted, add the parmesan cheese(adding a small amount at a time, letting it melt, then adding more), stirring constantly, over medium heat, until smooth. (I usually use a whisk).

Once everything is melted, I add the rest of the cream. and seasonings.

Adjust seasoning according to taste. Serve over noodles, and sprinkle with parsley.
