Mom's Fudge

Yields: 5 lbs
Ingredients:
12 oz Evaporated Milk
5 c sugar
2 sticks of butter (1/2 lb)
7 oz Marshmallow Creme
1 tsp vanilla
8 oz chips (chocolate, peanut butter, white chocolate, etc)
1 c chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
1) Bring sugar, butter, evaporated milk to a rolling boil (in a 3.5 quart pot).
2) Continue to cook, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches about 234 degrees (on a candy thermometer), remove from heat
3) Stir in rest of ingredients, mix.
4) Spread in a parchment paper (or foil) lined 11x9 pan. Cool for 4 hours, cut into squares, keep in air tight containers.
